Experience & Background
Along with my husband Frank, daughter Monique & son-in-law Simon I am a Company Director of The Roofing Specialists Ltd, Hamilton. I have also worked in the health industry as a Podiatrist for over 30 years. I held the role as Treasurer with the Dinsdale Playcentre in Hamilton during attendance and have also held a secretarial role with a local social group along with the NZWiR Board.
Despite being involved in the health industry I became involved in the roofing industry through my husband as our business expanded. Some days found me wearing 3 hats if not more depending on the demands. I worked predominantly in administration – accounts, wage schedules, employment issues and supporting the senior management team.
What I’ve been most proud of would be the success story my husband has achieved from early beginnings as a contractor +1 to establishing thriving businesses which have supported us as a family through the highs and the lows during the economic climate and to now see the next generation striving forth and adapting to our ever-changing environments.
