2026 AGM Set, calling for board member nominations!

Board Member nominations for New Zealand Women in Roofing are now open.

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of NZWiR will be held on 25 June 2026.

The Board sets the NZWiR strategy and monitors performance. Being on the Board is a chance to promote and influence positive outcomes for Women in the Roofing Industry in New Zealand

Nominations close 5pm, Monday 1 June 2026, and as per the rules of the Society. There are 10 positions available. If required there will be an election to be held at the AGM.

What makes a good board member?

A good board debates issues from a range of perspectives. A board requires a mix of strengths, with each board member contributing something unique and valuable to the culture and vision of the board. Board members also bring their individual experiences and networks.

Having a diverse board that reflects the range of our membership means we capture a range of viewpoints to enable the board to make good decisions. This means representing a range of disciplines, ages and career stages.

A prerequisite for becoming a Board member is being a financial member of NZWiR. Think about what you might add to that mix if you took up this governance role.

For your nomination to be considered the candidate is required to complete the nomination form and complete a candidate profile statement, submitting by 5pm, Monday 1 June 2026 to info@nzwomeninroofing.org.nz
